COVID-19 UPDATE:
Some popular travel destinations such as Aruba, Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Jamaica, Hawaii, and Bora Bora to name a few, are starting to lift COVID-19 travel bans. Generally, their requirements are: Show a “negative” COVID-19 test result from your doctor taken within the last 72 hours or they will do a test for a fee; however; you will be quarantined until they get a negative result which could take a few days. I would suggest to check the COVID-19 requirements before you travel to that particular country. In addition, you may want to take several masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, and lysol wipes to wipe your seat on the plane or hotel room etc. (see Amazon.ca for products)
While this is exciting news to some, keep in mind that you will have to quarantine for 14 days when returning to Canada (see the Government of Canada site: Canada.ca for more info). As much as I love to travel, I think I’ll hold off for a bit and work on future plans for my bucketlist. It’s not worth the health risk or taking an extra 2 weeks of vacation time to quarantine.
