This was my first time cruising with MSC and all I can say is…Wow! I was so impressed with this 8 day Bahamas/Mexico cruise out of Port Canaveral. The itinerary included: 2 days at MSC’s private island-Coco Cay, Costa Maya Mexico and Cozumel Mexico. The ship holds about 4500 passengers but because of Covid, there was only approximately 600+ passengers.

This ship is contemporarily and beautifully decorated, clean, and well taken care of. She is 6 years old and will be going into dry dock for a face lift/spa treatment and mani/pedi. If she looks this good now, I can’t wait to see her after dry dock! All venues were so welcoming and comfortable.

Check in was seamless. I live in Canada so I got my PCR test 1 day before flying into Orlando. The ship did a quick covid test and took my temperature and I was on the ship within 30 minutes sipping on a mimosa!
I bought the Easy drink package as soon as I boarded. Cecilia was amazing! She explained everything in detail and was very pleasant.

I also purchased the Teppanyaki meal when onboard because the app would not allow me to select only one restaurant. The food here was very good but expensive and didn’t include the drink package. I got the meal with the lobster which was about $69 U.S….I’m from Canada so converted, it cost even more 😞

The service on the ship overall was amazing! Darwin served my drinks while I was on the pool deck or in the Carousel Lounge. He always had a smile and was courteous and friendly.

The pool activities were fun and you could earn tickets towards MSC branded items at the end of the cruise. My friend Carlos, who I met on the cruise, donated a couple extra tickets to help me get a cool MSC t-shirt. Thanks Carlos!
The food in the dining room was ok but not bad. I say ok because some days it was better than others. However, the service in the dining room was great!

I was not impressed with the theatre shows except the magic show was great!
I had balcony room 10191. It was very clean and comfortable. My room attendant was Kim. She was very pleasant, stealthy, and had my room cleaned and made up without being caught lol! She gave me towel animals the last 2 days after I gave her a tip.

Disembarkation was quick and seamless. I carried my luggage off a little later. I didn’t want to leave lol! In fact, I loved it so much that I booked another cruise with Divina while onboard. I can’t wait!
Let me know if you have any questions and feel free to share your comments if you have cruised with MSC. I would love to hear from you!
